The lecture will consist of three parts. In the first part, Prof. Reinhard Hesse will attempt to outline briefly and in generally understandable terms what he considers to be the most important or groundbreaking aspects of Kant's philosophy, as well as the achievements and shortcomings he sees in it.
Secondly, he will report on his experiences on 23 April 2024 during his participation in the International Congress held at the Baltic Federal Immanuel Kant University of Kaliningrad to mark the 300th anniversary of Kant's birth.
Thirdly, he will show photos that he took in Königsberg during the congress. He will also be happy to answer any questions.
The speaker: Reinhard Hesse, emeritus professor, born in 1945, taught at the Chair of Philosophy and Ethics at the University of Education in Freiburg. He is a member of the German Society for Philosophy, the Society for Critical Philosophy and the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin.
