Brussels dreams of 450 million transparent citizens

Dear readers! If you are a recipient of citizen's income, you can safely ignore this article. This is because the authorities have already determined that you do not possess any significant valuables. However, if you are blessed with assets such as real estate, then all the red lights should be flashing brightly for you. This is because Brussels apparently wants to establish a central asset register in which the property of all 450 million EU citizens is to be registered.

Border controls: „Free entry“ to the promised black, red and gold land

During the European Football Championship, Germany's external borders were systematically monitored for around five weeks. The result: thousands of illegal migrants, wanted criminals and violent offenders, as well as criminal smugglers, were caught by federal police officers. An impressive result that shows how effective close monitoring of our borders can be. „We were able to execute over 1,000 arrest warrants, identify over 100 politically motivated criminals, over 100 violent hooligans and a good 8,000 unauthorised entries,“ said police union representative Andreas Roßkopf, summing up the results.

Gender gaga in Hamburg: Fire brigade removes „EMERGENCY DOCTOR“ from ambulances

You can think whatever you want about gender issues. But the word NOTARZT (emergency doctor) is something like the Holy Grail on emergency vehicles. It serves to quickly convey the message that people need to make way because there is imminent danger! Someone is in such dire need that an ambulance had to be called. Everything must be done to ensure that the emergency ambulance is recognised as such. Not so in Hamburg. There, the professional fire brigade has now decided to stop using the shortest and most concise of all possible designations, „NOTARZT“. It is not gender-neutral!!! There are no known cases of a female emergency doctor refusing to do her duty because she feels discriminated against. Nor have there been any other complaints.

The rearmament of the German Armed Forces is taking shape

The German Armed Forces need to become more effective. Everyone agrees on that. This requires more money, more personnel – and more and better equipment. There should also be consensus on this in the political discourse. But where to get it, if not by stealing? Since reunification, the German Armed Forces have been systematically cut back; some experts say they have been cut back to death. Federal budget funds were needed elsewhere, and the security situation in Europe had largely eased thanks to glasnost and perestroika.

In Kant's footsteps

„Have the courage to use your own understanding!“

Breisach am Rhein, Saturday, 6 July 2024, 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

The lecture will consist of three parts. In the first part, Prof. Reinhard Hesse will attempt to outline briefly and in generally understandable terms what he considers to be the most important or groundbreaking aspects of Kant's philosophy, as well as the achievements and shortcomings he sees in it. 

Secondly, he will report on his experiences on 23 April 2024 during his participation in the International Congress held at the Baltic Federal Immanuel Kant University of Kaliningrad to mark the 300th anniversary of Kant's birth. 

Thirdly, he will show photos that he took in Königsberg during the congress. He will also be happy to answer any questions.
