The True, the Beautiful, the Good – On the Necessity of a Renaissance

The True, the Beautiful, the Good – On the Necessity of a Renaissance

Web seminar Date: Tuesday, 3 June 2025 Time: 7–9 p.m. Speaker: Silke Schröder We are at the end of the age of deconstructivism. Even without having studied Spengler's vision of „The Decline of the West“ in detail, anyone with functioning senses can now see the aesthetic and moral problem zone in which we find ourselves. To recognise this, it is enough to walk through any pedestrian zone in Germany on a weekday and take in the people, architecture, fashion and language around you. Even though taste is a matter of opinion, anyone who compares the external state of Western societies today with that of a few decades ago will see that we are witnessing an aesthetic, moral and civilisational decline in which the basic principles of order and harmony seem to have been lost.

Speaker: Silke Schröder

We are at the end of the age of deconstructivism.

Even though taste is a matter of opinion, anyone who compares the current state of Western societies with that of a few decades ago will see that we are witnessing an aesthetic, moral and civilisational decline, in which the basic principles of order and harmony seem to have been lost.

About the speaker: Silke Schröder is an entrepreneur and publicist living in Berlin. After studying psychology and human resources management in London, UK, she initially worked as a human resources manager in large and medium-sized German companies before setting up her own real estate consulting business. She is known to a wider public through her media appearances, e.g. as a presenter on TV Berlin and as a columnist for Deutschland Kurier, Hallo Meinung and other media formats.

The conference fee is €15.
