The Desiderius Erasmus Foundation (DES) promotes political education and is committed to democratic discussion and the communication of conservative, patriotic and liberal values and ideas. It is recognised as a non-profit organisation.

The foundation is legally represented by the registered association, Desiderius-Erasmus-Stiftung e.V., and its general meeting, or rather the elected and voluntary association board.
